Small Groups:
Arguably, Jesus started the first Christian small group when he invited twelve men into life-on-life discipleship (Mark 3:13-14). We believe that Small groups should assist the church in care, hospitality, discipleship, and evangelism. Small groups were not a modern invention but were used throughout church history by the Moravians and John Wesley for discipleship, accountability, and encouragement. Small groups assist the church in creating real relationships, and real community, and help people live their faith out in the community the rest of the week. We encourage small groups to be multi-generational and to be made up of people in different life stages. We find that this helps with discipleship and spiritual formation.
We currently have two small groups meeting on Sundays. We have a small group meeting in Old Magnolia (near 249 and 149) from 4-6:30 PM. We also have a small group that meets in New Magnolia (in Woodforest; near 2978 and Woodforest Parkway) that meets 4:30-7 Pm.
